Prepare the Meta Business Portfolio, authorized users, WABA, business verification and phone number required for WhatsApp Cloud API.

REQUIRED PROVIDER ACCOUNT
Use a Meta account belonging to a person authorized by the business. The account must have access to the correct Meta Business Portfolio and relevant assets.
REQUIRED ROLE
The setup user needs enough Meta access to manage or authorize the WhatsApp Business Account, phone number, app and webhook. Use the minimum role that still permits the required setup. Do not give permanent full control to staff who only need daily messaging access.
MAIN REQUIREMENTS
Business Portfolio: Meta container that owns or controls the app, Pages, ad accounts and WABA.
Business Verification: Meta review of legal business information where required for expanded production use.
WABA: WhatsApp Business Account containing business phone numbers, templates and quality information.
Authorized Person: User who can grant access to assets.
Business Phone Number: Number that can receive an SMS or voice verification call and is eligible for the selected connection method.
PHONE NUMBER PREPARATION
- Use a business-controlled number.
- Enter the Pakistan number in international format, for example +92 300 1234567.
- Confirm it can receive SMS or voice calls.
- Confirm it is not locked to an incompatible existing registration.
- Plan migration carefully if it is already used in another WhatsApp product.
- Use a test number before the primary customer number.
BUSINESS VERIFICATION
- Open Meta Business Settings.
- Open Security Centre.
- Review Business Verification.
- Start verification when required.
- Submit legal documents that match the business name and address.
- Monitor requests for additional information.
- Do not alter legal records only to force a match.
