| Chat ID | Telegram identifier for the group, channel or conversation. |
SETUP GUIDANCE
- Confirm the Wemblo workflow genuinely needs a group or channel.
- Add the bot to the destination.
- Grant only the required permissions.
- Review privacy mode through BotFather where relevant.
- Confirm the bot can receive or publish the intended update type.
- Configure the Wemblo workflow.
- Test in a private test group or channel.
- Review moderation, consent and data-retention responsibilities.
LIMITATIONS
A bot may not receive all group messages by default. A channel may require the bot to be an administrator. Smart Inbox behavior for group or channel activity may differ from one-to-one conversations. Publish only the workflow verified in the current Wemblo release.
COMMON ISSUES & SOLUTIONS
| Bot cannot post | Review administrator rights. |
|---|---|
| Bot sees only commands | Review privacy mode and provider rules. |
| Too many group updates | Limit allowed updates and automation scope. |
| Private customer data appears in a group | Stop the workflow and move the case to a private conversation. |
