Connect Whatsapp Number
This guide explains the general process for connecting your WhatsApp Cloud API number with Wemblo.
Step 1: Open WhatsApp settings in Wemblo
Log in to Wemblo and go to:
Settings → WhatsApp Channel
The exact menu name may depend on your account permissions.
Step 2: Add your WhatsApp account details
Enter the required values:
- WhatsApp Business Account ID
- Phone Number ID
- Registered phone number
- Business ID, if required
- Access token
Save the settings after entering the details.
Step 3: Copy the webhook callback URL
Wemblo will provide a webhook callback URL.
Copy this URL because you will need to add it inside your Meta Developer app.
Step 4: Create a verify token
Create a secure verify token or copy the token generated by Wemblo.
The verify token in Meta and Wemblo must be exactly the same.
Step 5: Configure webhook in Meta
In your Meta Developer app:
- Open WhatsApp product settings.
- Go to webhook configuration.
- Paste the Wemblo callback URL.
- Enter the verify token.
- Verify and save.
- Subscribe to required WhatsApp events.
Step 6: Test inbound message
Send a WhatsApp message from another number to your connected business number.
Check if the message appears in Wemblo team inbox.
Step 7: Test outbound reply
Reply from Wemblo.
Confirm that the customer receives the message on WhatsApp.
Step 8: Test template message
If you want to start a conversation or send a follow-up outside the active customer service window, test an approved template message.
