Whatsapp Troubleshooting

This guide covers common WhatsApp connection and messaging issues.

WhatsApp is not connecting

Check:

  • Phone Number ID is correct.
  • WhatsApp Business Account ID is correct.
  • Access token is valid.
  • Webhook URL is correct.
  • Verify token matches.
  • Webhook events are subscribed.
  • Phone number is properly added in Meta.
  • Wemblo WhatsApp settings are saved.

Incoming messages are not showing

Check:

  • Webhook is verified.
  • Webhook callback URL is correct.
  • Required webhook events are subscribed.
  • Customer is messaging the connected number.
  • WhatsApp channel is active in Wemblo.
  • Access token has correct permissions.

Messages are not sending

Check:

  • Access token is active.
  • Customer number format is correct.
  • Template is approved if required.
  • WhatsApp account is not restricted.
  • Message follows WhatsApp policy.
  • Your package or usage limit is not exceeded.

Templates are not showing

Check:

  • Template was created in the correct WhatsApp Business Account.
  • Template is approved.
  • Template language is correct.
  • Template sync was completed in Wemblo.

AI is not replying

Check:

  • AI replies are enabled.
  • AI provider/API key is configured.
  • Business knowledge is added.
  • Conversation is not in human-only mode.
  • Automation rule is active.
  • Usage limit is not exceeded.
